Wow! Check it out!

Have I got news for you all!?  First, my pastel pieces have been received at Mountain Living Studio, a wonderful gallery in Manitou Springs, CO!  Look in if you are in the area, and check out

Then, I felt honored to receive the Tadashi Award at the Romancing the Arts Show in Castle Rock!  What a blessing.

Lastly, I was featured in an article in the Castle Pines Connection, our local newspaper, by Lisa Crockett.  She wrote about the journey I’ve been on with pastels, and it was great- thanks Lisa!

Birds Continued…

I’m still having a great time painting birds!  What a blast!  Here’s the fun part- I could use help naming this painting- any ideas from you all?

Understanding Giclees

I’ve started providing giclees of my original works to future collectors and it’s been exciting!  Giclees are high quality prints, and can be offered at a fraction of the cost of an original.  Giclees provide better color accuracy than other means of printing reproduction.  Reed Art and Imaging has been helping me with this process, and they print my giclees on high quality watercolor paper.

You decide!

Ok, I’m having a blast painting birds right now!  Which painting do you prefer and why?  I appreciate your feedback!

ASLD Summer Art Market

This weekend was the Annual Art Market held by the Art Student’s League of Denver down on 2nd and Grant- what fun!  It’s full of wonderful art- great quality and every type.  I caught up with Kathy Beekman, my mentor, and one of my favorite all-time-people!  If you didn’t catch it this year, try to go next year.  While I was not in the festival, I plan to be a part of some kind of festival next year.  Keep posted for more details!
